Workshop on "Building the Modern Institutions" – Vietnam 2035 report

On 16 January 2015, Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and World Bank Vietnam organized a workshop to consult Vietnamese and International experts on the topic of "Building the Modern Institutions" – one theme in "Vietnam 2035 Report". The workshop was held in Development Strategy Institute office in Hanoi.

Senior expert Mr. Cao Viet Sinh - Former permanent Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment (MPI) and Ms. Victoria Kwakwa – Director of World Bank Vietnam chairedthe workshop.  

More than 20 international and national experts and government officials who are drafting the "Vietnam 2035 Report" took part in the workshop.
 
On be half of group I, Mr. Hoang The Lien – former deputy of Ministry of Justice, chief of Vietnamese experts of the topic "Building the Modern Institutions" has presented the outline of this topic which emphasized current status, vision, challenges and solutions to overcome difficulites in institution reformof Vietnam by 2035.

Numerous valuable ideas and suggestions from international and Vietnamese experts on the issues were proposed. Suggestions include the long term vision for Vietnam toward 2035, the relationship between the State and the market, the role of education and training, the use of talents and the quality and capability of public servants.
