Vietnam to have green growth strategy

Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on Octber 24 met with relevant ministries and sectors to discuss the development of a green growth strategy in Vietnam over the next two decades.

Participants to the meeting agreed that green growth is part of the country's sustainable development and a step to restructure the national economy.

It also indicates Vietnam's commitment to the international community's efforts to achieve sustainable development and climate change adaptation.

The participants also deliberated targets of reducing green gas emissions as a way to mitigate impacts of climate change.

The strategy is expected to be submitted to the Government by this year's end./.
