New contributions to academic, theory:
The thesis does clarifying new perceptions and ways of thinking on the sustainable development of the mechanics industry in the process of industrialization and modernization;asserting factors affecting the sustainable development of the mechanics industry;determining the necessary conditions for the sustainable development of the mechanics industry. The thesis confirms also the development performance is the nuclear, core factor of sustainable development. At the same time, it proposes the indicator system for assessing the sustainable development of the mechanics industry, in order to apply to the research on development of the mechanics industry in our country in the context of globalization and the development of the global industrial value chain.
New findings, proposals drawn from the research results of this thesis: (1) On the basis of applying theoretical issues have been clarified, the thesis analyzes the current situation to detect successes, shortcomings and causes of weakness in the development process of the mechanics industry in our country during the period 2001-2012. The thesis proposes fundamental solutions (in which, especially emphasizeof taking modernization as development method, building strong mechanics corporations of Vietnam, raising the effectiveness and efficiency of the State management, forming Clusters of the mechanics industry) forsustainably developing the Viet Nam'smechanics industry to 2020; (2) The thesis proposes new indicator system for assessing the sustainable development of the mechanics industry; (3) The thesis also suggested that the State should an issue legal framework facilitating development of the mechanics industry; at the same time, must have priority policies and financial resources to build the infrastructure to meet the development requirements of the mechanics industry in the coming years.For qualitative development strategy of the mechanics industry, the State should establish agencies to assess quality development of Viet Nam's mechanics industry for the long-term period and create the Center to collect, process and provide sufficient, timely, accurate information for our mechanical enterprises.At the same time, strengthen macro management associated with risk control for developing the mechanics industry in our country.
