Updated: 12/3/2014 7:30:24 PM GMT + 7

After more than 20 years of implementation of Đổi Mới, Vietnam has been lifted from a war-torn, underdeveloped country to a low-middle income one. It is striving to become an industrialized nation with the objective of "Rich people, Strong Country; Equal, Democratic and Civilized Society."

Vietnam is endowed with abundant natural resources and situated in a dynamic region; and Vietnamese are hardworking, determined and creative.

What should Vietnam do to become an industrialized country in the shortest time period? Where will Vietnam be on the world economic map in 20 years time?

The Government of Vietnam has requested the World Bank Group to work with the Government of Vietnam on the Vietnam 2035 Report that will provide recommendations on answers to these big questions.

The webpage www.dsi.mpi.gov.vn/vietnam2035/en has been set up not only to give you information on how the preparation for the Vietnam 2035 Report is progressing, but more importantly, as a platform for all who sincerely want to contribute their experience and knowledge to the report during the preparation and consultation process, as well as in the implementation of the report’s recommendations.
