Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed a decision on April 17, 2014 to establish the Vietnam 2035 Report Steering Committee led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam (Chairman) and Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh (Vice Chairman). On the World Bank’s side, Mr. Axel van Trotsenburg Vice President for East Asia and Pacific Region provides guidance for the report development.
A team of experts from both Vietnam’s and World Bank’s sides was set up to work together to conduct the joint study. Mr. Cao Viet Sinh, Senior Advisor of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), and Mr. Bui Tat Thang, President of Development Strategy Institute (MPI) lead the Vietnam’s team. Ms. Victoria Kwakwa, World Bank Country Director in Vietnam, Mr. Sudhir Shetty, World Bank Chief Economist for East Asia and Pacific Region, and Mr. Sandeep Mahajan, World Bank Lead Economist in Vietnam lead the World Bank team.
The team consists of renowned experts from Vietnamese research institutes, universities and government departments and the World Bank.
